BEDFORD:Ralph J. Gabert, 91, died January 11, 2011 at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester of November 9, 1919 the son of Eugene and Aurore (Gillibert) Gabert and had been a lifelong resident of this community.
He attended local schools and served in the US Army during WWII. Prior to his retirement he had worked for Waumbec Mills.
He enjoyed building model planes, boats, ships and trains and was an avid Red Sox fan.
He was predeceased by his wife Loretta (Carette) Gabert August 7, 2009.
IN HIS LIFE: He leaves inlaws Leo and Rita Cote and Laura Pelletier of Manchester and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Friday from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
