STANTON Edward J. “Jack” Of Dedham, formerly of West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain, January 11, 2011. Beloved husband of Marguerite “Peg” (Connors) of 55 years. Loving father of Edward J. Stanton Jr. and his wife Melinda of Marshfield, William Stanton and his wife Gwen of Belmont, Patricia Stanton and her husband Steve of West Roxbury, Christine Tarantino and her husband Rob of Dedham, Brian Stanton and his wife Maureen of Brookline, Paul Stanton and his wife Liz of Dedham and Dianne Smith and her husband Brian of Westwood. Brother of Gertrude Stanton, Joseph Stanton and the late Martin Stanton, Mary Kelly and Margaret Coyman. Also survived by 18 loving grandchildren and many caring nieces and nephews. Jack was a World War II Veteran, Korean War Veteran, member of the Fogg American Legion Post #78 and the Hyde Square VFW Post #722. Boston College graduate and retired employee of Boston Edison and US Postal Service. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Saturday, Jan. 15th. at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John Chrysostom Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jack’s memory to Deutsches Altenheim Caregiver Fund, 2222 Centre St. West Roxbury, Ma. 02132.
