Lina M. Busby
...formerly of Tewksbury; 86
NASHUA, NH - Lina M. "Lee" (Tripoli) Busby, age 86, a parishioner of St. Dorothy's Church in Wilmington, MA, died Monday afternoon at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Nashua following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of William A. Busby Sr., with whom she had celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary this past November 12th. She was born in Boston's North End, raised in East Boston, and lived in Somerville before moving to Tewksbury in 1956, where she resided until 2004. She had lived in Nashua since 2004. She taught Christian Education at St. Dorothy's for several years. She will be remembered for devoting her life to her family, and also was an accomplished ceramics artist.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, with whom she and her husband resided, William A. Busby Jr., and his wife Angela (Ulsh) Busby; two granddaughters, Kathryn Busby and Marissa Busby of Nashua; two sisters, Nancy Goglia of Woburn, MA, and Phyllis Rulli and her husband Anthony of Burlington, MA; a brother, Anthony Pompeo of Burlington, MA; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carol Pompeo of Chelsea, James and Norma Busby of Wilmington, MA, Betty and Richard Ober of Woburn, MA, George and Nancy Busby of Melrose, MA, Robert and Joan Busby of Quincy, MA, Daniel Hayden of Woburn; and many nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Joseph Pompeo, and sister-in-law of the late Katherine Hayden, and Christine and Leo Vicario.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, Jan. 14, in St. Dorothy's Church, Wilmington. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, No. Tewksbury. Memorials to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 will be appreciated.
