Helen Stetson, 87, formerly of Scituate, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Newport Hospital. She was the widow of Richard L. Stetson.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James J. & Helen (Judge) Walsh. She had previously lived in Greenville, Cranston and Florida.
She is survived by her daughters: Kathleen Laurie of Mystic, CT, Elizabeth Stetson of Newport, her sons: Richard L. Stetson, Jr. of Providence, James Stetson of Stonington, CT, John Stetson of Coventry, William Stetson of Cranston, twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-0050
