Laura Tucker Cannady, 88, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Monday, December 29, 2003, at Tift Health Care in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Thursday, January 1, 2004, at Brushy Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Charles Tyson and Elder Buck Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Cannady was born December 19, 1915, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late John E. and Nancy Cravey Gray. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Eston Tucker and Rich Cannady, and two sons, Herman and Johnny Harper. She lived in Irwin County most of her life and was a member of Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cannady is survived by her daughter: Betty H. Pope, Wrens, GA; five grandchildren: Ronnie Pope, Ken Pope, Scott Pope, Sonya Harper and Dixie Goodman; six great-grandchildren; sister: Luna G. Vickers, Ocilla, GA; one niece: Mary Linda Castellaw, Locust Grove, GA; one nephew: Billy Vickers, Norcross, GA and several great nieces and nephews
