Scituate – Linda E. Seggelin 60, formerly of Rockland, died Sunday January 9 after a long battle against Multiple Sclerosis.
Born in Quincy she was the daughter of the late Lawrence H. and M. Virginia (Babin) Seggelin.
Linda was a graduate of Silver Lake High School and had earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Boston University. She had been employed at Electro Signal Lab Company of Rockland before working as a distribution supervisor for Chadwick’s of Boston.
A resident of Rockland for 25 years, Linda had her own side business “The Four Foot Wood Shop” where as a woodworker, she created and sold woodcraft objects to many local furniture stores. She loved watching race car driving and she herself had also participated in many road rallies.
Linda loved all animals especially her pet cats and dogs.
She is survived by her loving brothers and sisters; Richard Seggelin of Halifax, Paul Seggelin of Braintree and Florida, Lawrence Seggelin of Quincy, Anna-May Birtwell of Norwell and Joan Yeomans of New Mexico, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Douglas Seggelin.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Life Care Center of the South Shore for the excellent care they gave to Linda over the last eight years.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday January 13 at 7 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be at a later date. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 4-7 PM.
