PROVIDENCE … Frank J. Boyko, III, 49, of Tiverton died unexpectedly Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
He was born in Fall River, a son of Margaret (Kelly) Boyko of Somerset and the late Frank J. Boyko, Jr. He grew up in Somerset, also living in Fall River before moving to Tiverton 8 years ago.
Frank graduated from Somerset High School in 1979.
Frank was employed by the Fall River Housing Authority since 1992 as a maintenance mechanic. In the past, he worked with his family at Boyko Memorial Funeral Home. Previously, he had also worked as a certified Emergency Medical Technician, at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Charlton Memorial Hospital, Armand's Carpet, Venus de Milo Restaurant, and Stop & Shop.
He was a lover of animals, especially his parrot and dog. He also enjoyed computers, photography, kayaking, and scuba diving.
Survivors include his mother, two sisters Geralyn A. Boyko Bird of Fall River and Ann M. Boyko-Frizzell of Swansea, a brother John J. Boyko of Lakeville, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 9 AM from the BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, Rockland Street, Fall River. Committal prayers & interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5–8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
