Grace A. Cunningham, 81, passed away on January 8th, 2011. She was born in Boston on July 9th, 1929 to her parents Henry B. and Frances P. (Sullivan) Cunningham. Grace has been a resident of Medford her entire life. She is a graduate of St. James Grammar School in Medford and Cheverus High School in Malden. For over 40 years, Grace worked as a Supervisor at New England Telephone. After her retirement, she volunteered her time at St. James Parish in Medford where she served as a secretary and as a Parish Lector. She was also a member of the St. James Women’s Guild and a member of Catholic Daughters. She is survived by her siblings; Jean F. Cunningham of Medford and Mary Lou McGrath and her husband William of South Dennis; by her nieces and nephews; Mary Ann Correnti-Myers and her husband Dan Myers of Georgetown, Kathleen Coholan and her husband Francis of Melrose, Michael McGrath and his partner Tim Murray of Boston, David Cunningham and his wife Pamela of Braintree and Mark Cunningham and his wife Christina of Pomfret Village, CT. She is also survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews. Along with her parents, Grace was predeceased by her brother Henry B. Cunningham Jr. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Friday January 14th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday January 13th from 3-7 PM.
