Geraldine (Araujo) De Oliveira, age 84, of Fall River, passed away Jan. 9, 2011, with her daughters by her side. She was the wife of the late Manuel De Oliveira. Born in Bretanha, Sao Miguel, Azores, the daughter of the late Jose and Cecelia (Terceira) Araujo. Prior to retiring, Geraldine worked as a Housekeeper at Crawford Skilled Nursing Care Center. She was a parishioner of St. Anne’s Church.
Geraldine was the mother of Diane Costa & Deborah Blood, both of Fall River, sister of Connie Cruz of Tiverton, late Mary Ann Barboza, late Mary Ryan, & the late Manuel, Joseph, & Tobias Araujo, grandmother of Michael Rodrigues & Shaun Rodrigues Sr., Krystal Archambault, & Kerilyn Blood, great grandmother of 8, and aunt to many nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River FRIDAY at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne’s Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours THURSDAY 4-8 P.M. Kindly Omit Flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
