Lewis J. McCrimmon, 69, of Irwinville, Georgia died Saturday, January 8, 2011, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2 PM, Monday, January 10, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne McCrimmon and the Rev. Jeff Cummings officiating. Interment will follow in the Irwinville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. McCrimmon was born May 16, 1941 in Ben Hill County to the late John Walker & Mildred Tison McCrimmon. He was a 1959 graduate of Irwin County High School and received his computer training through the Ford Motor Company. Mr. McCrimmon was a transmission specialist working for Fitzgerald Ford-Lincoln-Mercury, the former Brown Ford in Tifton, and Village Ford in Douglas. He was a member of the NRA and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. McCrimmon is survived by his two sons: Chris McCrimmon and Joey McCrimmon, both of Irwinville; daughter and son-in-law: Misty & Freddy Brown of Sparta, NC; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother: Jack McCrimmon of Fitzgerald; and a special friend: Tom Todd of Sparta. NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.
