Mrs. Margaret M. (Perry) Reed, of Taunton, died Friday, January 7 at her home, surrounded by her loving family following a courageous, 20 year battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late John H. Reed, III. She was born 65 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late James J. and Margaret R. (Russell) Perry. She attended Taunton schools and was a graduate of Coventry High School in Coventry, R.I., and Johnson and Wales College in Providence. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as Administrative Support at Morton Hospital in Taunton for 30 years. Mrs. Reed enjoyed visiting Cape Cod and spending time with her family.
She leaves: 1 son: Jon Reed of Taunton; 1 daughter: Maura Reed of Quincy; 2 sisters: Ellen Sylvia and her husband Robert of Taunton, and Mary Butler and her husband, Rene Menard of Taunton; 3 sisters-in-law: Judith Perry of Hampstead, N.H., Jean Bokuniewicz and her husband, Frederick of Billerica, and Nancy Movitz and her husband, Frederick of Epping, N.H., and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late James Perry of Hampstead, N.H.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Tuesday, January 11 at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
