Natalie Machado, age 87, of Fall River and formerly of Somerset, passed away Jan. 8, 2011. She was the wife of the late Domingo Machado and the daughter of the late Manuel & Mary (Silva) Bettencourt. Prior to retiring, Natalie was a Sales Associate at the former Peerless Department Store in the Swansea Mall. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas More Church and a member of their Women’s Club. Natalie enjoyed traveling with the Somerset Senior Citizens Club, bowling, playing bingo, going for walks, and watching the Catholic TV Channel.
Natalie was the mother of Richard and Leonard Machado both of Somerset, Kenneth Machado of Plainville, and Louise Terry of Berwick, ME, grandmother of 10 great grandmother of 2, sister of the late Delores & Eileen Bettencourt, and aunt to several nieces & nephews.
Her Private Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
