Yoshi T. Hanlon, 83, passed away on January 6th, 2011. She was born in Manchuria on February 14th, 1927 to her parents, Ko and Kikue (Iwamura) Ikeda. Yoshi was raised in Manchuria and received her higher education in Tokyo, Japan. Yoshi relocated with her family in the early 1940’s back to their ancestral home of Numazu, Japan. Yoshi married her husband James in 1953 and moved to Medford, Massachusetts where she was a homemaker and raised their four children. She is survived by her husband, James J. Hanlon; by her children; James J. Hanlon Jr. and his wife Gail of Danvers, Laura Hanlon of St. Petersburg, FL, William Hanlon and his wife Debra of Reisterstown, MD and Theresa McQueen and her husband Randy of Lynnfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren Courtney and Amanda McQueen and Ryan Hanlon. At Yoshi’s request, private services will be held at a later date.
