WESTPORT - Robert O. Holt, 85, of Westport died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at home. He was the husband of Marcia B. Holt. Born in Seattle, WA he was the son of the late Oscar and Sena (Sundseth) Holt and had resided in Westport since 1988.
Mr. Holt served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and was a Korean War Veteran. Following his military career he worked as an independent fundraiser for various health agencies until his retirement. He was a member of St. Andrew’s by-the-Sea Church in Little Compton, RI and the Acoaxet Club and Elephant Rock Club both of Westport. Mr. Holt also served as past president and was active with the Friends of the Council on Aging, Westport. He had also been a past member of the Providence Art Club. Including his wife he is survived by a daughter: Susan H. Cukierman and her husband David of Norwalk, CT; 2 grandchildren; 1 niece and 1 nephew. He was the brother of the late: Beverly Mork.
Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Andrew’s by-the-Sea Church, 182 Willow Avenue, Little Compton, RI.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Little Compton.
