Obituary

Henderson, Wilfred A. "BIFF" of Marshfield, January 6th at the age of 94. Beloved husband of 70 years to Natalie Staples Henderson. Son of the late Auburn Henderson and Grace (Bourne) Henderson. Loving father of Michael and his wife Pamela of Amherst N.H., Donal of Marshfield, Barbara Chandler and her husband Carleton of Marshfield and Betsy Pinkerton and her husband Thomas of Bridgewater and the late daughters Diane and Cindy . Grandfather of Erin, Becky, Wilfred A II, Brooks, Kara, Kelley, Amy, Julie, Jocelyn, Ryan, Lesley and 18 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Russell Henderson, Ethel Briggs, Velma Lamb, Joanne Josselyn and Carole Osgood.
Born in Hanover, Ma. Biff graduated from Marshfield High School in 1933 served in the Army Air Corps as a navigator during WWII and was the owner of Henderson Brothers Plumbing and Heating for 45 years. Biff was a Marshfield Volunteer Fireman, One of the founders of the Marshfield Boosters Club, member of the building committee of Marshfield High School and the present Martinson Middle School, A Master Mason for 61 years with Cornerstone and Daniel Webster Lodges, a member and past deacon of the First Congregational Church. The 2nd love of his life was the Marshfield Country Club where he had been a member for 57 years, President 1971-1972, bringing the first amputee tournament to the club, also instituting the Beautification Committee.
A Funeral Service will be held at the First Congregational Church 1981 Ocean Street Marshfield on Monday January 10th at 10:30 am.
Visiting hours Sunday January 9th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean Street, Rte 139, Marshfield.
Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
