Wilton L. Luton, 82, Clarksville, died Thursday, January 6, 2011, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 1 PM Sunday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Steve Kirby and Brother Michael Barrett officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Cemetery Bumpus Mills, TN. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home and from 12 PM until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Wilton was born on August 6, 1928 in Bumpus Mills, TN to the late Willie E. Luton and Mollie Hargis Luton. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Elvin Luton and Willie Franklin Luton, and a sister; Anna Mae Taylor. He was a truck driver with Powers Oil Company for 35 years. He was a member of Hilldale Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 61 years; Rouine Lancaster Luton of Clarksville, a son; Larry (Clara) Luton of Clarksville, a daughter; Sharon (Michael) Barrett of Brentwood, TN, three sisters; Pauline Ross of Oak Ridge, TN, Thelma Castile of Clarksville, and Frances Swafford of Hermitage, TN, three grandsons; Kevin (Jamie) Luton, Patrick (Courtney) Barrett and Brent Barrett, a granddaughter; Tracy Luton, and a great granddaughter; Kayla Luton. Pallbearers will be Kevin Luton, Tracy Luton, Patrick Barrett, Brent Barrett, Keith Swafford, and Ronny Powers.
