TEWKSBURY - M. Ruth (Barry) Goulart, age 74, a resident of Tewksbury for 4 decades, diedMonday afternoon, Dec. 29, at the Greenbrier Nursing Home in Nashua, after a long period ofdeclining health. She was the wife of Edgar P. Goulart, who died in 1986.
She was born in Cambridge, Aug. 22, 1929, and was raised in Cambridge. She lived inTewksbury, and retired to Florida. She returned to live in Tewksbury upon the death of herhusband, and had most recently lived at the Carnation Drive senior housing.
She worked as a nurses aid at Tewksbury Hospital for many years.
She was a communicant of St. William’s Church, active at the Tewksbury Senior drop-In Center,and was a member of the V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary in Tewksbury.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and his wife Kathy (Renaud) Goulart ofTewksbury, Richard “Rick” and his wife Mary (McGurl) Goulart of Nashua, NH; a brother JamesJ. Barry of Lowell; five grandchildren, PaulGoulart, Dawn Goulart, Tanya Harper, Janice Quinn,Richard Goulart Jr.; and seven great grandchildren.
She was also sister of the late Eleanor Cummerford.
Her Funeral Service was held Saturday Jan. 3. Following Cremation,interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charityof donor’s choice will be appreciated.
