Annie L. Gore, age 78, of Coffeeville, MS died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was born in Yalobusha County, MS to the late Joseph and Iva Lou Chapman Landreth. Annie was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, gardening, sewing and fishing. She was a member of Elam Baptist Church in Coffeeville, MS.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Elam Baptist Church in Coffeeville, MS. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM with Bro. Charles Nail and Bro. Bernette Fielder officiating. Burial will be in the Elam Baptist Church Cemetery with Adam Gore, Anthony Card, Andre Card, Joseph Brown, Bill Wesley Hamilton and Mark Ellis serving as pallbearers.
Annie is survived by one son, Jimmy Lee (Sue) Gore of Pittsboro, MS; three sisters, Minnie Sue (Billy Wayne) Hamilton of Coffeeville, MS, Thelma Vedell (Emmitt) Brown of Coffeeville, MS and Ora Lee Ingram of Water Valley, MS; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Lee Gore; her daughter, Linda Gore Redwine; a sister, Nettie Mae Ellis; and two brothers, John Landreth and Hughlet Landreth.
