Barbara (Secord) Gregoire, 91, of Natick passed away on January 1, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. Gregoire & devoted mother of the late Richard Gregoire.
Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, Mrs. Gregoire was raised & educated in Watertown where she graduated from high school in 1937. A well-known dance instructor, Mrs. Gregoire owned and operated the Barbara Secord School of Dance in Watertown for over 25 years as well as taught with Dance Masters of America, Dance Educators, and Boston Dance Teacher’s Club. She enjoyed summering in Bridgewater, N.H. where she moved permanently in 1981. In 1998 she moved to Natick to be closer to her beloved family.
Mrs. Gregoire is survived by her son, Malcolm Gregoire and his wife Patricia of North Reading; daughter-in-law, Donna Gregoire of Natick; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Gregoire of Framingham, Steven Gregoire of Natick, Heather Gregoire of Madison, WI, and Michelle Gregoire of North Reading; and 2 great-grandsons, Brady and Owen Gregoire.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Mrs. Gregoire’s Life in the Chapel of the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 4:00 PM.
