Obituary

Charles J. Ciacera passed away on January 3, 2011. He was 81 years old.

Born in Cambridge, Charles grew up in Everett. He lived in Malden and Medford for a short time before moving to Stoneham where he lived for many years. Charles worked as an engineering assistant at MIT University for 40 years and was a United States Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict.

Charles was the beloved husband of the late Lillian (Cappellucci) Ciacera, his wife of 49 years. He was the loving father of Stephen Ciacera and his wife Karen of Danvers, Charles Ciacera and his wife Carol of Middleton and Linda Goossens and her husband Kevin of Wilmington. Charles is the dear brother of Robert Ciacera of Wakefield and is also survived by 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday, January 10th at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Sunday, January 9th from 3-7 p.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles’ memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062-5040.
