Obituary

Mr. Paul F. Blinn, Sr., of Andover, formerly of Framingham and beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Belden) Blinn, died at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center in North Andover on Monday, January 3, 2011. He was 85 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on September 27, 1925, he was the beloved son of the late Nelson and Clara (Flanigan) Blinn. Paul grew up in Medford and was a WWII Air Force veteran, serving as an Airplane Armorer Gunner throughout the Pacific. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star and an Air Medal, for his service. In civilian life, Paul graduated from Tufts University and worked as an insurance broker living most of his adult life in Framingham, MA and a longtime communicant of St. George Church. In later years he lived at Marland Place in Andover and Sutton Hill in North Andover.
He will be sorely missed by his son: Paul F., Jr. and his wife Grace Blinn of North Andover, one granddaughter; Samantha Blinn, one sister; Claire Carroll of North Andover and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Michael Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, Friday, January 7, 2011, at 11 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Friday morning, prior to the mass, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment was in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in West Peabody. Donations in Paul's memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
