Obituary

In Taunton, January 3, 2011 Philip Lemieux Jr. age 85, passed away in Taunton Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Albertina (Motta) Lemieux. Philip was born in Taunton to his late parents Philip & Julia (Masterson) Lemieux. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army under General Patton with the #128th anti-aircraft battalion. He was employed and retired from TMLP for many years. Philip was a communicant of the Annunciation of the Lord Church in Taunton. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of John F. Parker Municipal Golf Course and also enjoyed fishing. Philip leaves his son Philip J. Lemieux and his wife Mary Beth Correia of Taunton. His three grandchildren; Corrin, Mallory, Matthew and two great grandchildren. His siblings; Julie (Lemieux) Walsh of Taunton and William Lemieux of Sandwich and the late Charles, Edward & Robert Lemieux and Rita Lemieux, Lillian (Lemieux) Callahan. His two brother-in-laws John Motta & wife Berta and Fred Motta and a sister-in-law Madeline (Motta) Hathaway. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Friday, Jan. 7th at 9 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Annunciation of the Lord Church in Taunton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday from 5-7 pm. Interment in the family lot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
