Obituary

Deborah A. (Roberts) Hancock, 57, a longtime resident of Walpole, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of Allen F. Hancock who died in 1999.

Born in Norwood on May 10, 1953, she was the daughter of Lillis E. (Cullinane) Conway and her husband James of Walpole and the late Herbert A. Roberts.

Mrs. Hancock was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed playing bingo and card games.

She loved horses and collecting carousels and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her daughter Heather Hancock of Walpole, two sons, Jason Hancock of Middleboro and Daniel Hancock of Walpole and two grandchildren, Kayla and Anthony Hancock.

She is also survived by four brothers, Herbert, Dean and Gene Roberts and Jimmy Conway, all of Walpole and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, January 7 at 10 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole.

Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Walpole.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445-9924.
