Lawrence J. Laico, a World War II veteran of the Air Force, of Halifax, and formerly of Ocean Township and Jersey City, N.J., passed away Dec. 28, 2010. He was 88 years old. Beloved husband of Anita K. Laico, he was the loving father of Anita Laico-Hurley and her husband Patrick of Kingston and Larrie Marie Laico of Tinton Falls, N.J.; brother of the late Nicholas Laico, Dominic Laico, Louis Laico, Joseph Laico, Estelle Comedeo and Julia Truece; beloved Papa of Stella Rose Hurley. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Jan. 2, from 12-1 p.m., followed by a funeral service set to begin at 1 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rte. 106), Kingston. Interment will be private.
