Ronald J. Hamm age 59 of Canton passed away peacefully at home December 31st after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Boston he attended Boston Schools. Ron was the past owner of Rondo’s Sandwich Shop in Jamaica Plain before joining D'Angelo's Corporation where he worked for many years in the corporate offices. Ron also was previously the co-owner of the Back Bay Bagel Shop and was the proprietor and owner of Central Liquors in Stoughton up until his illness. He has lived in Canton for the last 25 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Joan (Halpin). Cherished father of Kevin J. & Eric R. both of Canton. Son of the late Elwin C. Jr & Catherine Hamm. Brother of John Hamm & his wife Cheryl of Boston. Son in law of Joan Halpin of Dedham. Brother in law of Anne and the late Paul Cahill & Janis Halpin all of Canton, Laurel Halpin of Dedham and the late John Halpin. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Services in the United Church of Christ 1541 Washington St. Canton Tuesday morning at 10:30. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery.
