Anthony L. Ciampi, of Everett, died Wednesday at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 23.
Anthony was raised in Everett, attending Everett High School until his junior year. He was a solid athlete, playing on the baseball and Super Bowl winning Football team. As a senior at Woburn High School, he played on their Super Bowl wining team and graduated with the class of 2005. Anthony enlisted in the Air Force after high school and served as an aircraft armaments technician, preparing jets for missions. Anthony was an outgoing guy with a wonderful personality. A man with a strong artistic side, Anthony loved to write and composed music and poetry. After his discharge from the service, Anthony enrolled at U Mass Boston, where he was studying architecture.
He is survived by his parents: Vincent Ciampi of Everett and Linda Arcese and Robert DeSalvatore of Middleton. He leaves his brother, Domenic Ciampi of Melrose, his grandmother Jeanette Ciampi of Medford and was predeceased by grandparents James Ciampi, Louis and Gloria (Robbio) Arcese. Anthony is also lovingly survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday, January 4th at 12 noon followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 1PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with military honors after mass. Burial private.
