Cherished grandmother of Jaelene Virella, Janais Gonzalez, Jaydon Sanchez, Naima Lara, Anthony Bubluski and the late Antonio Mendez. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews including Magaly, Pedro, Jaime, Edwin, Julia Beatriz, Jorge, Maritere, Mickey, Norma, Edwin, David and Diana Ruiz. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, Chelsea on Tuesday, January 4th at 11 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Monday from 4-9 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Born in Las Marias, Puerto Rico 66 years ago, Rosa passed away in the emergency room of Massachusetts General Hospital Tuesday afternoon after being involved in an accident in East Boston's Day Square. Devoted to her family and known as a hard working woman, from the summer of 1971 until it closed, she worked for Sweetheart Paper and then as a butcher at Butcher Block for over 10 years.
