Louis J. Miccile, 81, of Natick died unexpectedly Monday, December 27, 2010 at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Carolyn (Pierce) Miccile who died in 2005 with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.
Born in Natick and a lifelong resident, he was the son of the late Vitale and Ida (Biagetti) Miceli.
Mr. Miccile attended Natick Schools and was a graduate of Natick High School class of 1949. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at General Motors for 11 years before joining the Natick Fire Department in 1962, where he proudly served for 31 years.
Louie loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his yard, spending time around the pool and tending to his vegetable garden. He took up golf after his retirement and loved watching and playing the game.
He is survived by his children Louis S. Miccile and his wife Mindy of Westford, Mark A. Miccile of Grafton, Joanne M. Miccile of Franklin, John M. Miccile and his wife Susan of Upton, Scott P. Miccile and his wife Kim of Wrentham, Lisa A. Miccile and David O’Keefe of Townsend, and 10 grandchildren, Lauren, Steven, Christian, Juliana, Jensen, Brianna, Emily, James ,Justin and Cailyn. Mr. Miccile also leaves 5 siblings, Viola McNally, Bruno Balducci, Joe Miccile, Frank Miccile, Gertrude Wells, and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Jack Balducci, Mary Leone, and Tony Miccile.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common.
Visiting hours are Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Internment Dell Park Cemetery.
