Mrs. Dell Ruddock
Augusta, GA – Mrs. Gertrude “Dell” Clodell Ruddock, 86, was called home Tuesday, December 28, 2010. She was born May 13, 1924 to Ida and William Travis in Bertram, Texas, the youngest of ten children.
Interested in nursing from a young age, she retired as a psychiatric technician in Napa, Calif. She enjoyed gardening, reading, family, traveling and Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ruddock, retired USMC, and is survived by her children: Ruth Gardner (Brian) of San Jose, CA; Lorna Barrett (Les), Augusta; James Ruddock (Margaret) of Chesapeake, VA; Rickey Ruddock of Thomson and adopted daughter Janelle Dempsey also of Thomson; grandchildren: Lorin Ruddock, Beau Carrigan (Alicia), Ashley Spencer (Andrew), Tyler Gardner (Kelcie), Theresa Sandusky (Mike), Denise Toledo (Rico); great-grandchildren: Jamie Polk, Travis Spencer, Nicholas Carrigan, Brett Duplechain, and Aaron Nardone.
An informal memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
