WEBSTER – Mary M. (Dorr) Bernier, 73, of 9 Klebart Avenue, died Saturday, December 27, in Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 47 years, Robert E. Bernier; a daughter, Anne Marie MacNamara of Worcester; 2 brothers, Arthur J. Dorr and Paul T. Dorr, both of Leicester; 2 sisters, Patricia A. Hartnett of Leicester and Ellen E. Sague of Brick, New Jersey; a granddaughter Megan M. MacNamara of Worcester and many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur L. and Mary V. (Johnson) Dorr. She graduated from Leicester High School in 1948.
Mrs. Bernier was a member of Saint Louis Church, and a member and past president of its League of Catholic Women. She did volunteer work at the library in Saint Louis School for many years. She also was the current vice-president of the Webster-Dudley Women’s Club, where she had served as president two times. She enjoyed reading, traveling and especially being with family.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, December 31, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 30, in the funeral home.
