Kathryn A. Bernner, 73

Dateline: Norton, MA

Kathryn A. (Mayo) Bernner, 73, of Norton formerly of Mansfield passed away in the presence of her loving family on Tuesday December 28, 2010 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence, RI. She was the beloved wife of Paul H. Bernner, Sr., to whom she was wed on September 6, 1958.
Born in Boston, MA on October 17, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Albert F., Sr. and Frances H. (McLaughlin) Mayo.
Kathryn grew up and was educated in Boston. A dedicated homemaker to her loving family,
she had made her home in Norton for the past 3 years and had formerly resided in Mansfield for over 30 years.
Mrs. Bernner was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield. She loved spending time with her family and will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness in sending holiday cards to family and friends. Her favorite place to visit was Cape Cod, especially the town of Sandwich and taking in the beauty of the Cape Cod Canal.
In addition to her beloved husband of over 52 years, she is survived by her devoted children Paul H. Bernner, Jr. of Stoughton, Susan A. Rainville and her husband Richard of Rockport, Maine and Karen M. Anderson and her husband Mark of Norton. The sister of Frances Biederman and her husband Ralph of Bedford, NH, William E. Mayo and his wife Barbara of Boston, Ann Marie Solano and her husband Edmund of Marlboro, Allan J. Mayo of Quincy, Donald T. Mayo of Mansfield, Roberta A. Mayo of Mansfield and the late Albert F. Mayo, Jr., Frederick G. Mayo, Diane L. Galley and Lawrence J. Mayo, Mrs. Bernner is also survived by her adoring grandchildren Jennifer Burke, Michael, Amanda and Eliza Rainville, Christopher, Joseph and Emily Anderson, her great granddaughter Alexa Finley and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday January 3rd at 7:30 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield, followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 8:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday January 2nd from 4-7 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
