Obituary

Mr. Rudolf C. Luiser, age 69, of Woburn, died on December 27, 2010, at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Allentown, PA, Rudy has been a Woburn resident for the last few years, formerly of Brockton. He was the devoted son of the late Anna (Schmetzer) & Rudolf Luiser.

Rudy, as he was known, taught Air Conditioning and Refrigeration at the Kaplan Career Institute. He was a Vietnam Navy veteran, proudly serving from 1961-1967. He was a baseball coach and umpire for over 30 years and a true friend to all animals.

Rudy was the beloved husband of Betty (Burack) Luiser. Devoted father of Kim Scully of Hanson, Robert Luiser of Spencer, Fred Gregory of Millis and Andrew Gregory of Boston. Loving grandfather of Victoria Scully, Jamie and Alex Gregory. Brother of Linda Luhrs of New York, Nancy Conroy and Paul Luiser both of Florida and the late Kenneth Luiser. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and by many loving grand animals.

A funeral service will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington, Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 7 pm. Visiting hours Thursday 4 to 7pm. Service will conclude with burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Friday December 31, 2010 at 9:15 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Rudy’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210 OR M.S.P.C.A., 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
