West Boylston
Margaret L. "Peggy" (Heffernan) Recupero, 79, of West Boylston passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 28, surrounded by her loving family. Her former husband, Angelo F. Recupero passed away in 1999. She leaves seven children, Jackie Zirpolo of Worcester, Stephen Recupero of West Boylston, Andrew Recupero of Millbury, Angela Smith of Ashburnham, E. Julia Recupero of West Palm Beach, FL, Candelora Kristoff of Sterling and Jennifer Rose Recupero of West Boylston; eleven grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Melissa, Dean, Tanya, Aimee, Cynthia, Sarah, Sonya, Amanda, Jessica; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a sister, Delphine Powers of California. A daughter, Delphine “Lee” Leger and a grandson, Dennis predeceased her. She was born in Everett, daughter of Thomas and Elnor (Bonsey) Heffernan.
Peggy worked for the family business, A+R Fruit Company and at the former Fair in West Boylston for many years, before retiring.
Peggy enjoyed painting landscapes, camping in the White Mountains, and following New England sports teams. She adored her little dogs and most of all admiring her grandchildren. Her family will miss her as a loving mother and her friends will remember her as a ‘hot ticket.’ She was the heartbeat of our family and her presence will be missed forever.
A Funeral will be held Friday, December 31, at Noon in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visiting Hours for family and friends are Friday, December 31, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston, 01583.
