Mr. Normand D. Rousseau, 70, formerly of 351 Coos St., Berlin, NH passed away on Tuesday December 28, 2010 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin, NH on May 9, 1940 the son of the late Oliva and Lucille M. (Marois) Rousseau, Sr. and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1957 and was the co-owner of Rousseau’s IGA and Mountain Valley IGA. Normand was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree and was Past Grand Knight. He enjoyed cutting deer and making Norm’s sausage, fishing and playing cribbage with his friends.
Members of the family include his wife Lucille (Marchand) Rousseau of Berlin, NH; 3 daughters Michele L’Heureux of Nashua, NH, Diana Kimberley and husband Mark of Colrain, MA and Elaine Rousseau of Berlin, NH; 4 grandchildren Erryn Kimberley, Gregory Kimberley, Samuel Kimberley and Hillary L’Heureux; 1 sister Corinne Doyle and husband David of Berlin, NH; nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. He was predeceased by his brother Oliva Rousseau, Jr. and a sister-in-law Theresa Rousseau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 30, 2010 at 2 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
