WEBSTER - Irene F. (Rannikko) Murzycki, 73, died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at home surrounded by her family.
She leaves 4 sons, Peter B. Murzycki of Charlton, Brian L. Murzycki and his wife Sally of Lisbon, CT, David P. Murzycki of Webster, and Sean P. Murzycki and his wife Regina of Deltona, FL; 3 daughters, Patricia I. Mason and her husband Donald of Charlton, Kelly J. Pepin and her husband Richard of Auburn, and Maureen T. Heath and her husband Robert of Webster; a brother, Patrick G. Miglionico of Webster; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Peter L. Murzycki in 2008, by her son Pattrick M. Murzycki in 2002, by 4 brothers, Reno and David Rannikko, and Nicholas and Thomas Miglionico, and by 2 sisters, Patricia Miglionico and Theresa LaBelle.
She was born and raised in Worcester, a daughter of Reno O. and Elizabeth R. “Rita” (Curley) Rannikko. After moving here in 1957, she lived in Webster and Dudley all her adult life. She attended Commerce High School in Worcester.
Ms. Murzycki was a spinner at Stevens Linen Associates in Dudley; she then worked in the printing department at Cranston Print Works Company. After obtaining her certificate as a certified nurse’s aide, she worked at the Masonic Home in Charlton, and at Webster Manor and at Christopher Heights, both in Webster, until retiring in 1999.
She was a communicant of Saint Louis Church. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fans. She enjoyed knitting. Her greatest love was her family, particularly her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 31, at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 15 Lake Street. Burial will be at the family’s convenience at a later date. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to Saint Louis Church, 15 Lake Street, Webster, MA 01570. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
