WORCESTER-Mary B. (Diggins) Domiano, 84, of Worcester, died Monday, December 27 at Millbury Healthcare Center. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Joseph D. Domiano, Jr. in 1986. She leaves two sons; James J. Domiano and his wife Laurie of Worcester and Joseph P. Domiano and his wife Diane of Abingdon, MD; two grandchildren, Joseph A. and Gina M. Domiano; a niece, Denise Johnson and her husband George; a nephew Daniel Clifford; two grandnieces and two grand nephews. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret “Peggy” and Dennis Clifford and a niece Margaret Richford.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of James and Margaret (McSweeney) Diggins and graduated from St. Stephen’s High School. Mary was a customer service representative at Freedom Federal Savings for many years, retiring in 1983. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. She loved to bowl, spend time at Hampton Beach and travel. She especially enjoyed her trips to Ireland, Italy and Alaska.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 30 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday, December 29 from 5-7 PM in the funeral home.
