Ulrick David, 65, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the beloved husband of Jocelyne (Pierre) David. Born in Port au Prince, Haiti, he was raised and educated there. Mr. David also was a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston. He was a resident of Stoughton for over 22 years. Mr. David worked as an Engineer for Nova Biomedical in Waltham for over 10 years, previously working at Gillette. He was known as a handyman, always ready to lend his talents in building and fixing things. He was an avid soccer player and played for team Speed out of Boston. In his free time, he enjoyed dancing, listening to music, especially Elvis Presley and Spanish music and soccer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Armelle Lauture and Angilique David both of Stoughton. He was the brother of Immacula David, Yvon David, Marie-Christa Louisdhon and Taciana Biton all of Hyde Park and the late Gloria David. He was the cherished grandfather of Taliya S. Lauture and Quinten Latuture. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday, December 28 from 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemtery, Stoughton.
