Levy, Francis Julius, 90, of Louisville, passed away at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital on Christmas Day, December 25, 2010.
He retired from American Air Filter in 1977 with 35 years of service. He was an active member of Gateway United Methodist Church and its Friendship Club.
Julius was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred (McDermott) Levy and second wife, Dorothy (Walker) Levy, his parents, a sister and grandson Jason Gillahan.
Survivors include his children, Ron Walker (Bev), Carol Walker Haynes, Francis “Frank” Julius Levy, Jr. (Jeannie), Nita Walker Ramsey (Mike), Paula Levy O’Bryant (Bruce), Suzanne Levy Gillahan, Bill Walker, and Michael Levy (Marcella); 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in St Andrews Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday.
