Raymond L. Rainville, 84, of Dartmouth died Friday December 24, 2010 at S.E. Mass. Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Jean (Shelinsky) Rainville.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Wilfred and Cecile (LaFleur) Rainville, he lived in Connecticut for many years before moving to Dartmouth in 2003.
Mr. Rainville was formerly employed as a machinist for Bullard Manufacturing Company in Connecticut.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Kenny Carreau Golf League. He also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include a sister, Claire DeMello of Dartmouth; and nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Muriel Perron, George, William, Hervey, Roland, and Roger Rainville.
