Manuel S. Gonsalves, 91, of Sumner Brown Road, Cumberland, died Sunday at Mt. St. Rita Health Center in Cumberland. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (Fernandes) Gonsalves.
Born in Valley Falls, he was a son of the late Sezaro and Emilia (Lopes) Gonsalves. He had been a resident Cranston for many years.
He was a Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of the VFW and the Portuguese Club of Cranston.
He is survived by his daughters Donna Tracey of North Scituate, Elaine Pallotta of Cranston; two grandchildren and his siblings, Oliver Gonsalves and Mary Ferrieri both of Cranston. He was the brother of the late Joseph, Edward and Anthony Gonsalves.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
