Constance D. Carrigan 81, died Tuesday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Thomas John Carrigan. Mrs. Carrigan resided in Washington DC for over forty years before returning to Cumberland in 1992. She was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Doria and Corinne (Ladouceur) Laperle. Mrs. Carrigan worked as a dental hygienist until her retirement eighteen years ago. She graduated valedictorian of Blackstone High School in 1947 and then graduated from Forsythe Boston, MA in 1949.
She is survived by a son Craig Carrigan of Richmond, RI, two step sons Barrie Carrigan of East Greenville, and Alan Carrigan of Casterville, TX, a brother Paul Laperle and his wife Lorraine of Woonsocket, and a granddaughter Catherine. She was also the sister of the late Vivian Kapitan and Richard Laperle.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Joan of Arc Church Mendon Rd. Cumberland. Burial will be held in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting hours are Tuesday 6-8 PM.
