Doris E. (Blampye) Smith of Somerville passed on December 21, 2010. Beloved daughter of the late Daisey Machado and John Charles Blampye. Devoted mother of Debra and the late Ronald “Pup Ermini of Virginia Beach, David and Cathy Melendy of NH, Rita and David Gonzalez, Carol and Julian Bennett, all of Virginia Beach, Donna and Richard Ribeiro of Somerville, Ramona Rounds of Hyde Park, Elizabeth Douglass of Peabody, Florence and William Rolls of Taunton and the late Rhonda Jean Gallant. Sister of Irene Blampye of Malden, Ray Blampye of NH, Sam Blampye of South Lawrence, Leon Machado of Attleboro and the late Charles, Walter, Robert, Gordon and Florence Blampye. Also survived by 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the Brown-Flaherty Funeral Home, 261 Washington Street, Union Square, Somerville on Wednesday at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8pm. Interment Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
