TAUNTON – Mary I. (Terra) Rounds, wife of the late Donald E. Rounds, died at Longmeadow of Taunton on Dec. 23, 2010.
She was 87.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Rose (Rodrigues) Terra.
Mrs. Rounds attended Taunton schools and was later employed by the former Bradlees where she worked as a sales clerk.
She retired in 1980.
A communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Mrs. Rounds enjoyed playing cards and spending time with, and cooking for family and friends.
She leaves two sons, Donald E. Rounds, Jr. and wife Barbara of Berkley, and Atty. William D. Rounds and his wife Karin of E. Bridgewater; four sisters, Frances Marshall of Taunton, Albina Carlos of ME, Dora Silva of OR, and Elvira Silva of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren, Meghan Rounds of Somerville, and Kyla and Molly Rounds, both of Berkley; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Joseph and Arthur Terra and Rose Oliveira.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Wednesday Dec. 29th at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at noon.
Burial will be at Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday Dec. 28th from 5 to 8 p.m.
