Mr. Pasquale V. Galluzzo, of Woburn passed away December 22nd surrounded by his loving family following a lengthy illness. He was 82 years of age. He was the beloved husband of Carmela (Gallo) Galluzzo and together they shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Grotteria, Italy he one of six children of the late Pietro and Maria Rosa (Mesiti) Galluzzo.
"Pat" as he was affectionately known, worked as a barber since the age of thirteen when he began to learn his trade in Italy. In 1953 Pat emigrated to the United States and settled in Arlington where he would live, raise his family and work for many years. He owned and operated Pat's Barbershop on Mass. Ave in Arlington for a great number of years prior to his retirement. Pat was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He cherished his loving grandchildren and was always looking forward to spending time with them. In his leisure time Pat enjoyed playing cards with friends and also enjoyed working in his garden.
In addition to his late parents, Pat is preceded in death by his daughter, the late Linda Galluzzo. He is also predeceased by his sister and four brothers. He is survived by his beloved wife Carmela and their children, Maria Day and her husband Donald of Woburn, Peter Galluzzo and his partner Kevin Moriarty of Marco Island, FL. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Diana, Dawn and Christopher Day and his cherished great granddaughter Natalie. He was the beloved “Uncle Pat" to many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Wednesday, December 29th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge St. Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 thru 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
