WORCESTER – Margaret M. (Dowd) Lovely, 75, formerly of First Street died Thursday, Dec. 25 in the Hermitage Nursing Home.
She leaves two sons Michael L Lovely of Auburn and Mark T. Lovely of Leicester; two daughters Susan L. Maxon of Uncasville, CT and Lee A. Clotar of Leicester; four brothers Edmund Dowd of Auburn, Francis Dowd of Fairfax, VA, Frederick Dowd of Bronx, NY and Thomas Dowd of Worcester; three sisters Virginia Axton of San Diego, CA, Patricia Dowd of Arlington, VA and Eileen Scopetski of Northborough; 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester daughter of Edmund and Mabel (Macomber) Dowd.
She worked as a secretary for Worcester Pressed Aluminum and Micro networks and for Bancroft Motors for many years, retiring in 1990. She was the past president of the 39’ers at Coes Pond Village.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Dec. 29 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street with a mass at 11:30 am in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be at a later date. A calling hour will be Monday, Dec. 29 from 10 to 11 am in the funeral home.
