Obituary

Louis C. "Blacky" Genereux, 89, of Bernon St, died Saturday at home. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Trudeau) Genereux. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Gaspard and Annette (Lefebve) Genereux. Blacky worked as a self employed painter for most of his life. He retired twenty four years ago from ACS Industries. An army WWII veteran, he was a member of VFW Post 263 in Woonsocket.

He is survived by his son Harold of FL, and four daughters, Sandra Angell of Chelsea, MA, Denise Genereux of FL, Louise Genereux of MD, and Rose Genereux-Paquette of Chepachet, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his sons, Brian, David and Paul, two brothers and three sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10AM in Holy Family Church, South Main St, Woonsocket. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the RI Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, 830 Chalkstone Ave. Providence, RI 02908 would be appreciated.
