Lucy J. "Bella" Rossi, 87, of Sprague Street, Greenville, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at North Bay Manor. She was the widow of Americo “Rickey” Rossi.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was a daughter of the late Domenic and Teresa (Imondi) Campopiano. She was the owner of Bella’s Beauty Salon before retiring. She had been a resident of Smithfield since 1954. She loved gardening, playing the piano, bowling and golf. At one time she had been the club champion at Melody Hills.
She is survived by her children: Kenneth C. Rossi of North Scituate, Iris T. Rossi of Greenville, Patricia M. Desaulnier of Putnam, CT, her four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and her siblings: Angela McGeough, Eleanor Hickman, Dorothy Ciavernini and Leo Campopiano. She was the sister of the late Americo, Augusto, Anthony and Domenic Campopiano and Teresa Riendeau.
Funeral Tuesday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am. Burial in RI Veterans Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 8-9am. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Po Box 50, Memphis, TN 38010-0050.
