Augusta, GA – Mr. Jan Letz, 87, beloved husband of Julia Smiechowska Letz entered into rest on Sunday, December 19, 2010.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Gaspar Hegedus officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Rd. NW, Atlanta, GA 30328.
Mr. Letz was born in Lwow, Poland and served in the Polish army during World War II. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Letz had a joyful, easygoing spirit that family and friends will truly miss.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Letz is survived by his daughter, Bozenna Deukmaji and husband George; and his two grandchildren, Gabriel and Tina Deukmaji.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the funeral service until 1:00 PM.
