Obituary

Alice L. Clancy, age 90, of North Reading, died on December 19, 2010, at the Berkeley Nursing Center in Lawrence. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late James Clancy and Anna Everbeck. She lived most of her life in North Reading and retired from Tyer Rubber (Converse) in Andover. Alice always took great interest in her family and friends and enjoyed extensive travel. When at home, she loved feeding and watching the birds in her back yard.
She is survived by her brother Peter Clancy of Tewksbury; sister Shirley Dewherst of Laverne, CA; brother James Clancy of Blackstone, RI; nephews Terence Sweeney, Kevin Sweeney, Sean Sweeney, Peter Clancy, Kim Clancy and many grand-nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Wednesday, December 22, from 4 to 7 PM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Interment was held privately in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
