Obituary

BRADFORD: Leo Harrington, 70, died Wednesday December 15, 2010 in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Maureen E. (Brennan) Harrington.
Born in Goffstown, New Hampshire on February 16, 1940, he was the foster son of the Cook family in Sheldon, CT. Raised in Sheldon CT and was a graduate of Sheldon High School. He has resided in South Boston, Philadelphia and Salisbury for many years before moving to Bradford in 1991.
Leo was employed as a retail clerk at Ann & Hope for many years. He had also once worked as a cook at Burger King in Salem, NH and Methuen.
He was a member of the Newburyport Elks Club #909 and the King of Grace Church in Bradford, where he also served as a caretaker. He enjoyed puzzles, bowling, movies and playing horseshoes. He will be remembered for being full of life, having a great sense of humor and for his devotion to his faith and his loving wife, Maureen.
In addition to his wife of nineteen years, he is survived by his four children, Bonnie Ellen, Regina, Michael Jeremiah and Leo and his many friends at the King of Grace Church. He was also predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Taylor.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday evening in the King of Grace Church, 28 Chadwick St., Bradford at 7 p.m. Visiting hours will be held in the church prior to the service from 3 – 7 p.m. Interment will be held on Wednesday in the Westlawn Cemetery in Littleton at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the King of Grace Church, 28 Chadwick St., Bradford, MA 01835.
